Does cropping permanently remove content?

Cropping sets a CropBox that hides content outside the boundaries. The original content remains in the file but is not displayed by PDF viewers.

Can I crop different pages differently?

Currently the same crop margins are applied to all pages. For per-page cropping, use the editor.
